Envirofit has developed a retrofit technology that reduces two-stroke fuel consumption and emissions. We have engaged in field testing and marketing in the Philippines and now sell our retrofit to Filipino taxi drivers in three pilot cities (4000 potential customers total). The Philippines has 1.8 million two-stroke vehicles – each producing the pollution of 50 automobiles. 1.3 million taxi drivers make their living from these vehicles, and millions of working-class Filipinos rely on them for transportation. Our retrofit reduces carbon monoxide emissions by 76%, carbon dioxide emissions by 35%, and hydrocarbon emissions by 89%. At the same time, fuel consumption is reduced by 35% and oil consumption by 50% – saving drivers 0 per year, a 33% increase in income. A retrofitted vehicle will typically last another 15-20 years. By 2009, we will remove 127000 automobile equivalents of pollution and infuse .1 million into the local economy ANNUALLY from our work in the three pilot cities alone.
